All right, what's with you legwarmer people?

So there I was, innocently posting a dopey little random observation about the fact that I noticed a few people wearing legwarmers on the streets of NYC and wondering if they're back... And all of a sudden, this becomes the most-viewed page on the blog, simply because of search engine hits from people searching for 'legwarmers" ... and now I suppose it's going to continue, since now I've got another entry with the word in the title. So I guess that shows that, yes indeed they are, at least for a certain hard core of chilly-legged internet-searching 80s throwbacks. So perhaps we could hear from one of you l.w. enthusiasts who've come here via a search engine - what's the attraction?
